Mr. Doughty's Message - January 2026

Happy New Year, McCormick Families! I hope you and your children enjoyed a restful and joyful winter break. As we begin the new year and the second half of the school year, January is a natural time to reflect, reset, and set goals for continued growth.
At McCormick, we encourage students to set both academic and personal goals—whether that means improving study habits, staying organized, challenging themselves in the classroom, or strengthening positive relationships. Achieving goals takes consistent effort, and we remind students that showing up each day, on time and ready to learn, plays a major role in their success. Regular attendance and perseverance, especially during the winter months, are critical to maintaining momentum.
These efforts support not only academic achievement but also the social and emotional growth of our students. Winter can bring challenges, but we're encouraging students to stay engaged, resilient, and connected to their learning.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we can help our students finish the year strong and confident. We look forward to a productive and positive start to 2026 at McCormick.
