McCormick Middle School

1. Today’s lunch is Corn Dogs.
2. The lost and found is located in the front hall by the Auditorium doors. It is filling up.  If you have lost something, please check the lost and found!
3. Dress code reminders: The Huron City Schools dress code states that students are NOT to wear - Pajama Pants, Flannel Pants or Spandex Shorts to school. Also shoes must have backs on them - Crocs must be in “sport mode”. 
4. Your 8th grade girls volleyball team finished second in their end of season tournament this past weekend. Congratulations girls on an amazing season!
5. Congratulations to the girls and boys cross country teams on their phenomenal finish at the SBC races this weekend. With 23 athletes racing towards meet and personal records, they finished strong!

Girls finished in 3rd place with both Grace Jackson and Alex Neibler on the podium for the Tigers. 

Boys finished in 2nd place with Logan Kerstetter, Eli Cencer, William Meyer, Greg Synoka, Callum Pifer, and Will Marsh on the podium. What a great end to a very successful season.

Don't forget, our pizza party is on Wednesday at 3:30 in the McCormick cafeteria. Bring your appetites and CLEAN JERSEYS!

6. Attention 6th grade boys:  If you are interested in playing basketball, please stop by the office for information. 
7. Attention 7th and 8th graders:  If you are interested in swimming or diving, there will be a parent and student athlete meeting at the High School in the cafeteria on today at 6:30pm.  The season starts October 20th.  Questions, email Coach Daniel Smith at dsmith@huron-city.k12.oh.us.
8. Reminder: The next Power of the Pen practice will be tomorrow from 2:30-3:30 in room 108. 
9. STEAM Club will be this Friday in Mr Haplea’s room from 2:30-4:15. At dismissal, please be sure to stay in your classroom until the 2nd bell. Do not leave early. See you Friday for STEAM Club.
10. Picture retake day is Friday, October 24. If you did not get your picture taken in August, please plan to have them taken.  Picture order forms are available in the school office.  Pictures can also be ordered online at ripchostudio.com, using Access Key A7YPWP3T.  If you were unhappy with the original picture day photos, please bring the entire packet with you on retake day in order to have your picture retaken.
