- Today’s lunch is Rotini with meat sauce.
- Student Council would like to thank all students and staff who participated in last month's spirit week. The winning homerooms in each grade were:
6th grade - Mrs. Smith's homeroom
7th grade - Mrs. Brown's homeroom
8th grade - Mr. Schoenherr's homeroom
Mrs. Rowen will be coordinating with your homeroom teachers for your treat.
- REMINDER: Only go to the cafeteria in the morning if purchasing breakfast. ALL others are to go straight to the auditorium. No one should be in the halls until the bell rings.
- The lost and found is located in the front hall by the Auditorium doors. It is filling up. If you have lost something, please check the lost and found!
- Dress code reminders: The Huron City Schools dress code states that students are NOT to wear - Pajama Pants, Flannel Pants or Spandex Shorts to school. Also shoes must have backs on them - Crocs must be in “sport mode”.
- Attention 6th grade boys: If you are interested in playing basketball, please stop by the office for information.
- There will be a brief meeting tomorrow at 2:00pm for 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball.
- Parent-teacher conferences are tomorrow, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Parents should look for an email link from Mr. Doughty to schedule a conference.
- Join us for this year's Crucial Catch football game, THIS Friday, October 10, 2025 versus Vermilion. The game will be a "Pink Out” for the Piggyback Foundation. T-shirt order forms went out on final forms. TODAY is the final day to order. Orders can be placed online at lucky stone uniforms or by calling or stopping into Lucky Stone. Wear your Crucial Catch Pink t-shirt to the game and join the effort to Intercept breast cancer and make it go from deadly to treatable and from treatable to preventable. Pink Merchandise will also be for sale at the game with most items under $3.
- Come watch “Dare to Dream Jr.” the musical, on Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11, at 7:00pm in the McCormick Auditorium. Tickets are $10.
- There is no school on Monday, October 13.
- Attention 7th and 8th graders: If you are interested in swimming or diving, there will be a parent and student athlete meeting at the High School in the cafeteria on Tuesday, October 14, at 6:30pm. The season starts October 20th. Questions, email Coach Daniel Smith at dsmith@huron-city.k12.oh.us
- When you are given something from someone, never insult that person by making negative comments about the gift or by insinuating that it wasn’t appreciated. No matter how big or small or how valuable the gift is, one should always say thank you and show gratitude.
