McCormick Middle School

1. Today’s lunch is Walking Taco.

2. Spirit Week this week - Today: Wear your favorite jersey. Tomorrow - Show your school pride by wearing school colors. 

3. Attention ALL students interested in joining the STEAM Club. This is a club that mixes Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in building projects with Mr. Haplea and Mrs. LaCrosse. We will have our first club meeting TOMORROW after school! We will meet in Mr. Haplea's art room from 2:30-4:15. Everyone is welcome!

4. Interim grades go home tomorrow.  Make sure you are getting your work done so that your parents have a good report on how you are doing.  If your grades are low, get with your teachers and ask for some help.  That is all part of working and growing to be the best student you can be.

5. Attention 7th & 8th graders who want to join Power of the Pen:  Please turn in your Commitment Agreement to Mrs. Smith ASAP. The first practice will be Wednesday October 1st from 2:30-3:30 in room 108. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Smith. 

6. Parent-teacher conferences are Thursday, October 2, from 3:00pm-7:00pm and on Thursday, October 9, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.  Parents should look for an email link from Mr. Doughty to schedule a conference.

7. The lost and found is located in the front hall by the Auditorium doors. It is filling up.  If you have lost something, please check the lost and found!

8. CHARGED CHROMEBOOKS are to be brought to school everyday.

9. Dress code reminders: The Huron City Schools dress code states that students are NOT to wear - Pajama Pants, Flannel Pants or Spandex Shorts to school. Also shoes must have backs on them - Crocs must be in “sport mode”. 

10. McCormick students respect the opinion of others whether they agree with the other person or not. During a discussion, you should respect the other students’ comments, opinions, and ideas. Listen to their thoughts attentively and do not interrupt until they have finished their entire thought. At no time do McCormick Students put down or make fun of another student for their opinion, thought or idea that they share.
