- Today’s lunch is Popcorn Chicken.
- Nice job to our girls and boys cross country teams! Solid racing on Saturday at the Norwalk Invitational. Girls were led by Grace Jackson, Alex Neibler, Hazel Hargrove, Hazel Boos, and Avery Morefield. Boys were led by Eli Cencer, Logan Kerstetter, William Meyer, Troy Wyatt, and Greg Synoka. Lots of personal records and great finishes happened! Next up...the Huron Invitational at Firelands BGSU on October 4th. Good luck, Tigers!
- Attention ALL students interested in joining the STEAM Club. This is a club that mixes Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in building projects with Mr. Haplea and Mrs. LaCrosse. We will have our first club meeting THIS FRIDAY after school! We will meet in Mr. Haplea's art room from 2:30-4:15. Everyone is welcome!
- Spirit Week starts today - Today - wear your Hawaiian attire. Tomorrow is Hero day - dress like someone you admire.
See your homeroom teacher for the themes each day this week.
- Attention academic challenge members, Mrs. Rowen will meet with 6th grade members only today. We will resume our regular practice schedule on Wednesday.
- Order Dominos tomorrow to help raise some dough for the PTO. Use code HCS when ordering online or by phone.
- Interim grades go home Friday. Make sure you are getting your work done so that your parents have a good report on how you are doing. If your grades are low, get with your teachers and ask for some help. That is all part of working and growing to be the best student you can be.
- Attention 7th & 8th graders who want to join Power of the Pen: Please turn in your Commitment Agreement to Mrs. Smith ASAP. The first practice will be Wednesday October 1st from 2:30-3:30 in room 108. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Smith.
- Parent-teacher conferences are Thursday, October 2, from 3:00pm-7:00pm and on Thursday, October 9, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Parents should look for an email link from Mr. Doughty to schedule a conference.
- The lost and found is located in the front hall by the Auditorium doors. It is filling up. If you have lost something, please check the lost and found!
- CHARGED CHROMEBOOKS are to be brought to school everyday.
- Dress code reminders: The Huron City Schools dress code states that students are NOT to wear - Pajama Pants, Flannel Pants or Spandex Shorts to school. Also shoes must have backs on them - Crocs must be in “sport mode”.
- McCormick Students are polite. McCormick Students always say thank you when they are given something or someone else does something for you. You should always show others that you appreciate what they do for you. Whether it is when you are handed a cookie in the lunch line, or if someone holds the door for you, you should always say thank you.
