- Today’s lunch is Walking Taco.
- Congratulations to the 7th and 8th-grade girls' volleyball teams, who both won their matches last night! The 8th-grade girls are now 4-0 for the season. Great job, girls!
- Do not go to the cafeteria in the morning unless you are purchasing breakfast.
- Reminders to students:
- Cell phones and smart watches are to be kept turned off and in your lockers at all times.
- Charged Chromebooks are to be brought to school every day.
- Only those students who are riding the bus are to leave the classroom at 2:20.
- Walkers and parent pickup students are to remain in the classroom until the 2:25 dismissal bell.
- The deadline to have your schedule changed is this Friday, August 29.
- Lunch money and notes for the office should be brought to the office during first period.
- Attention students who are members of the Academic Challenge team, Student Council, and Jr. Honor Society, please check Google Classroom for the latest updates from Mrs. Rowen.
- Ripcho Studios will be here today to take school pictures. Order forms were handed out. The office has extras if you need one. Bring your completed order form and payment with you on picture day to give to the photographer. Pictures can also be ordered online at Ripcho Studio using the passcode A7YPWP3T.
- Order your 2025-2026 yearbook today! Order forms were handed out. You can also order your yearbook online at Lifetouch using code 14845926. The order deadline is April 9, 2026, but order early to ensure you get one!
- There is no school on Labor Day, Monday, September 1.
- Attention 7th and 8th graders: McCormick Jr. Honor Society will host the first dance of the year….Wear Your Brightest Neon. The dance will be on Friday, September 5th, in the gym from 2:30-4:30. Tickets will be sold during lunches for $5 on September 3rd-5th.
- Following the announcements, would the following students please come to the office: Claire McDonnell, Laney Bennett, Avery Evans, and Camryn Maloney
- If you win or do well at something, do not brag. If you lose or do poorly at something, do not show anger. To show anger or sarcasm, such as “I wasn’t playing hard,” or “you really aren’t that good,” shows weakness. McCormick Students always treat each other with respect. Remember if you do not have something nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.
